LG Innotek has introduced a durable, temperature-resistant, and flexible sensor.

The company created a sensor for smart sports gear, rehabilitation, and even automatic car seat adjustment. LG has provided the world with smartphones, TVs, refrigerators, and smart robot vacuum cleaners. In the future, it will, of course, offer more smart products like its previous ones, such as fingerprint sensors in smartphones and wide-angle modular cameras.

The flexible sensor for measuring pressure is another one of the company’s current products. This sensor is made from durable materials and measures the pressure applied to a surface. The new sensor is made of highly elastic polyurethane, which is suitable for wearable clothing. This material is used between electrical fibers with the ability to detect electrical polarity, material deformation, and use due to quality and pressure level.

This sensor is resistant to temperatures between -40°C and a weight of 70 kg and is used in clothing and vehicles. The use of the LG sensor in vehicles optimizes the seating position for individuals.

For example, in sports, the LG sensor is used in smart golf clubs, sensing your hand pressure to improve your swing. It will also be used in medical applications, room flooring, and for patients’ rehabilitation and balance during treatment.
